how do i add a sidebar to the esquire custom theme?

  i recently downloaded the esquire theme and purchased the custom design package. when i previewed the theme, it said i would be able to add a sidebar on the right side, but i cannot seem to find the correct way to do that.

  The theme description for Equire at http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/esquire/ could use some editing and additional information. Esquire has only one widget area, and that is in the footer. There is no way to add a right sidebar. The bottom footer widget area can be move over and to the right, but due to the way the XHTML (markup) is structured in this theme, it can’t be done cleanly. The position of the sidebar will appear to be different, vertically, depending on whether the visitor is logged into WordPress or not.
