How do I add a twitter widget to my blog?
-
I’m not sure how to edit the appearance of my blog – on my dashboard, I don’t see a place where I can add a widget. For my blog, how can I go about adding a twitter timeline widget, or even just a place where I can link to my company’s social media accounts?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All widgets are at > Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
http://blog.edthena.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
To access them you may have to click into the theme customizer.

This link – http://blog.edthena.com/wp-admin/widgets.php – doesn’t work. I have no way to access “Appearance” from my dashboard. Why would this be so? Same thing with the customizer – no on my dashboard. What can I do?

Sadly Staff it seems that have replaced the ability to go to the widgets page directly with having to go through the theme customizer now. Try this link please http://blog.edthena.com/wp-admin/customize.php?return=%2Fwp-admin%2F and then click the Widgets link on the far right hand side panel there.

Hi there,
Your account danmoore3 is an Editor on the site http://blog.edthena.com/. Editors and other non-administrator users on a site can’t change the site’s appearance — only administrators can do that. The site’s administrator will need to log in to make those changes, or invite you to become an administrator, too.
You can learn more about User Roles to find out what different users can do on a site.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)
