How do I add a WordPress theme from an outside source?

  I’m helping a friend create a new blog. She recently purchaed a WordPress template from an outside vendor, but I’m not sure how to upload it into the WordPress back end – any tips?

  It is not possible to upload an external theme to a WordPress.com blog. They are for WordPress.ORG blogs only. Ethical sellers should issue a refund to customers who were confused about that.

  Bummer –

  Her domain would have been amandephelpsmakeup.com, so I guess we’ll have to poke around the WordPress templates instead. Had no idea! Thanks for letting me know.

  Well, first of all make sure you’re talking about a .com blog and not a .org one. If she’s going to do ecommerce, she’s going to need to have a .org one anyway.
