How do I add a www. to my blog address?
-
I’m trying to set up the address for my club blog. The domain name is already owned and registered by Free Virtual Servers. However, when I tried to switch the domain from it’s current site to the new WordPress blog, it doesn’t register properly. Instead of it being http://www.aberdeenkendoclub.org.uk, it just says aberdeenkendoclub.org.uk. When I head to http://www.aberdeenkendoclub.org.uk, it goes straight to the original site. I’ve tried to changing details on both ends, but nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. This is my first time handling Domains, so I know near to nothing about it. So laymen’s terms would also really help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am seeing both of those addresses point to your WordPress.com site.
You might try clearing your browser’s cache and seeing if that helps the situation. Your browser may be trying to look at an older version of the site it has stored in its memory (chache).

Thanks rootjosh, however, that’s not the right site. I’ve just checked it myself, and that’s the original site, not the new wordpress one. For some reason, both addresses seem to be heading to the wrong site.
It seems the situation is even more problematic than I thought. XD

Are you trying to have aberdeenkendoclub.org.uk point to a self hosted WordPress site?
If so, you’ll need to change the nameservers at your domain registrar to point to your new webhost. At the moment, the nameservers for aberdeenkendoclub.org.uk are still set to point to WordPress.com.
