How do I add an "About Me" widget to my blog?

  How do I add an “about me” widget? I’ve gone to Dashboard > Appearance > About.me widget and I’ve dragged it to the sidebar 1 box, but when I do that and go back to my blog home page, not only is there no “about me” widget, but the “Archives” and “Meta” have also disappeared! :(

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Well, you have to fill in your Profile on the dashboard Users page first so it has something to display.

  All themes here will display a default display that appears to contain a sample set of widgets in the sidebar(s) and/or footer(s) when you have not yet added any of your own. Go to Appearance > Widgets and add the widgets you desire and configure them and the default display will disappear.
