How do I add an affiliate link

I am trying to add an affiliate link that is all html. It will produce and image after the fact that is the link, but the image is contained within the html and I have no other image information. How do I do this?

The software will strip out some codes here and quite aside from that I do believe you may have some reading to do.

You’re welcome. Also note that the wordpress.com TOS section 2, 5th bullet says that wordpress.com blogs cannot be used to drive traffic to third party sites. http://wordpress.com/tos/
