how do I add an associate link

  I’m new to using html codes. From what I’ve read you can add the associate link html into the image code but where exactly? or is there another way of doing it?

  Can we have a link to your wordpress.COM blog? And consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forum.

  There is another way of doing it. If you know how to put a link in a post (and if you don’t, watch this short screencast http://faq.wordpress.com/2008/09/09/how-do-i-add-links-to-other-sites-using-the-html-or-visual-editor-screencast/ ) you can put it in a post in the visual editor, then switch to the HTML editor, copy all of the text and paste it into a text widget.

  Be careful on associate links, though, and make sure they don’t violate the Terms of Service (link at bottom of this page)

  What I have is an html code for the link. I took your advice and added it to the html editor page, linked it to their site and then I went back to the visual editor and it was there! but as soon as I save or publish it, it disappears. Any suggestions?

  Please post the code here between backticks, those little apostrophe like items that on my keyboard at least are on the same key as the ~. So it’s backtick, code, backtick.

  That won’t work here because it contains frames and frames are not allowed. (Neither is javascript or flash.) So always look at the code carefully and make sure it is plain text HTML.
