How do I add author directly from blog

I want to have a registration form directly on the blog that people can fill out to become authors.
I want them to create their own posts and add their own image
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Cannot be done at wordpress.COM. Here is what must be done.
1. The prospective author signs up for an account here (no need to get a blog) if they do not already have one.
2. You add them as an author from within your dashboard.

Ok, so once I add them as a author how long does it take to show up in my authors list? and can the add a post directly from the blog once they are an author?

It should be virtually instantaeous, although you might have to clear your browser cache to see them under users > authors & users, and they might have to clear their browser cache and cookies for your blog to show up in their dashboard listing.
They will have to log into their own account, then go to the “my dashboards” link in the grey admin bar at the top of the page and select your blog from there. Then they will be able to write, edit and publish their own posts on your blog.
