How do I add buttons into my wordpress blog posts?

    I’m trying to figure out how to add buttons into my WordPress blog posts. I watched one video where the person was able to click an ‘add button’ button on the blog post dashboard, but my blog post dashboard is missing that button. How can I add buttons into my posts?
