How do I add html content to my website?

  I have a different wordpress website where I can add HTML content in post/pages or widgets. On this website, HTML content does not show up. I’ve tried to add several different things like a Paypal donate button, but it won’t show up. I tried it on my other wordpress and it worked fine. why is that?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there – Your other site is likely a self-hosted WordPress site. Sites hosted here on WordPress.com are a bit different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  You can edit the HTML of each individual post or page by switching to that post or page’s Text editor:
  Editors

  You can add a PayPal button to your site in this way:
  PayPal

  Simple HTML will work in a Text widget, or in the Text editor, but some types of code are stripped out here at WordPress.com for security reasons:

  Hello thank you for your reply. I didnt know self-hosted was different then sites hosted on wordpress.

  However, I am aware of the text editor and text column for the widgets and I fully understand HTML. Its just not working. No code is showing up when I post in either. I go to my other website and post in the Text editor and text column for widgets and it works fine. I was thinking maybe because I haven’t bought the full custom design service the wordpress offers. Is that maybe why? All U have purchased is the .com. If not I need assistance somehow from a wordpress rep to check and fix what isn’t working if that is possible because I cant figure it out. Ive tried everything I know. Thank You

  hello right now I’m trying to add the donate button from paypal. I just entered a basic html code for a basic link into the TEXT tab. It showed up right on the VISUAL tab, but when I try and look at it on the actually website. It isn’t there. Maybe I was thinking is there like a display HTML enable button I have to hit in the settings or something? Thank you for your help.
