How Do I Add Links Widget under another name?
-
Would like to know if I can add a link widget under a title like for e.g, Shopping Sites other than using the My Link Widget.
Can i also add more than one link widget to my sidebar?

The categories you choose to have and assign to your posts and links in your blogroll are reflected in the titles given in your links widget and appearing in your sidebar. This may help you http://bloggersblurt.wordpress.com/2006/09/17/widget-wizardry/

I’m new at this, but I don’t understand this answer, nor does reading the above link help.
Here’s what I want to do:
I dropped in the Links widget, but it shows up as “Blogroll” on the presentation. Perhaps it is a function of the theme.
The problem is that I don’t want it to say “Blogroll”. I don’t plan on having one of those. I do want it to say “Related Links” or “Links of Interest” or something like that.
Is that possible?

I think that’s theme-dependent, but what you can do is use a text widget and put in the links yourself one by one. You’d have to use HTML, but if you know how that works it’s not too hard.

I’m sorry you didn’t find my answer to the original poster to be helpful. Please let me take a run at explaining this again.
The “blogroll” title in your admin section is not seen by your redaers. You enter links into the blogroll in the admin area but as you have noted the widget for displaying them is called “links”. Again the links label becomes superficial (it’s the default) because the way blogroll data is displayed in the sidebar is under category headings. Therefore, the good news is you can create a category named “Links of Interest” or “Related Links” and assign entries you make into your blogroll to that category. If you do so then the sidebar the links will be displayed under that title. And if you forget to assign a blogroll link to a category then the default heading displayed in the sidebar will be “blogroll”.
I think this information was actually in here.
I hope that clarifies the situation for you.:)
P.S. And in the case of a forgetting to assign a category to a post rather than to a link the default category displayed in the sidebar will be “uncategorized”. -
Thanks to both of your for your helpful answers. I think I understand this time, Timethief!
