How do I add my site to Google Analytics?
-
Hi, everyone,
I have a new, very simple site with a Premium plan: denisenadeau.org. I entered it in Google Analytics 2 days ago but no data is showing up there, not even in the Realtime section.
I tried adding Google Tags to the site, but it still isn’t working. I did created an Analytics page successfully for another site (created and managed by someone else) a few years ago, although I have minimal technical expertise, so am feeling lost.
I’ve done searches that suggest “snippets” to add to the master theme (header.php), which should first have a child theme, but I suspect those suggestions are designed for WordPress.org, not WordPress.com.
I seem to be linked to the Google Search Console, which tells me I’ve had one click.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!

Hi there,
Have you followed the steps here?
If you’ve followed that process and Google Analytics is still not showing any data on your site after 24 hours, please contact Google support directly, as that’s likely a problem on their end in that case.

Thank you! I thought I had, but there was no Google ID. Maybe I entered it but didn’t click “save.” It seems to be working now!
