How do I add next/random/previous buttons to my theme?

  I am currently using the Typo theme for my webcomic in a blog-like scroll. I would like to change it to a single panel (comic) with navigation buttons beneath the panel (Next Random Previous). Can I add those buttons to the Typo theme? Or do I need to find a new theme?
