How do I add one of these (or more) widgets to my WP blog?
-
Hi, I need help. I am a new WordPress blogger and I do not know how to add a click able widget.
I want to add Widgets such as these: http://pandanda.com/image_downloads.htm (OPEN THE SITE TO SEE THE WIDGETS)But I really do know how.
Could anyone Please Help Me?Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Those are javascript and javascript is not allowed here due to security concerns: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#javascript .

Oh meaning I cannot add it? :(
Why others have one?
Especially those club penguin hack sites I saw it on my classmate’s laptop and he has alot of histories when I opened it, there is a wordpress blog and it contains Rockhopper trackers, something like that. -
There are two types of wordpress blogs. Those hosted here at wordpress.COM – which have restrictions – and those that are self-hosted on third-party hosting sites such as godaddy or dreamhost. Self-hosted blogs can use those widgets, but blogs hosted at wordpress.COM cannot.

I do not understand
those who got a domain like .com .net or whatever can add widgets?
What about this?

lindy, when you create a blogg at wordpress.com, you get them to host it for you, and therefore take all the risks.
So, for security reasons they wont let you use java. When you register at wordpress, but DONT create a blog, but download all the blog files to your computer, and then put it on a homeserver (yes, you can do that), YOU are the risktaker and thats why you then can use javascript.

thesacredpath… I just created a blog using the Misty Look theme at ighsc.wordpress.com. It comes with default widgets in the right sidebar. When I go to the widgets control page, no widgets appear under Sidebar 1. So How to I delete or otherwise change the existing widgets that came with the theme? Why does the Meta widget appear on the home page but not any other?

@lindysaducos, see this support document on the differences between .COM and .ORG: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ .

@ighsc, what you are seeing is a theme-generated sample set of widget that display when you have not yet added any widgets. Simply go to appearance > widgets and add in the widgets that you actually want to use and the sample set will disappear. The sample display of widgets is just there to show you what they look like, and to keep the sidebar from just being a blank.
