How do I add photos without the program freezing?

  I was working on a blog post yesterday and when I got to ~ 700 words after the last photo gallery I couldn’t resume adding copy. I finally just published. Today I want to resume the blog post and when I try adding photos the program freezes and I can’t do anything.

  Also, is this happening in the new editor (wordpress.com/post) or in the classic one (kdhatfield.wordpress.com/wp-admin)?

  I am using my iPad so my browser is mobile safari 8 on iOS 8.1. I’m using the new editor. I didn’t know I could use the classic version. I never had this problem before. I can’t enter any text into the box after adding a photo gallery to the post.

  Thanks for clarifying! I just gave this a test on an iPad Air 2 on the latest iOS, but I didn’t seem to experience the error. Here’s a video of my experience:

  Could you try two things for me?

  1. Download and install Google Chrome on your iPad to give that a try

  2. Try adding a gallery within the WordPress app so see if this makes a difference

  I downloaded chrome and worked on my draft through the classic version of WordPress. Success! I couldn’t find a way to access the new version through chrome. It doesn’t matter because I’m back in business. However there was quite a lag between touching the keyboard and the letters showing on the screen.

  Next I went to the classic WordPress via safari and was able to continue work on my draft. I haven’t tried adding more photos as yet. I’m simply pleased to be able to keep moving forward after the photo gallery I’d previously entered.

  I’ll be working on the blog later today so you will hear if I run into a problem. Thank you so much. I am so appreciative of the support.
