How do I add picture links to my blog?

Hello can anyone tell me how I add picture links to the right hand menu like on here prosnookerblog.com ? I just want to get a few little links to other similar sites up and haven’t a clue where to start.

OK I think I know how to do this now, but one of the problems I am having now is that when I drag the image widget into my sidebar all previous links, pages, search box etc. disappear.
Can I ask, is the drag into sidebar option set to a default until I drag things into it (as at the moment it is empty but my pages/links are all displayed on the site anyway)? So it is then that I decide what is in there and what isn’t? If this is the case I think I’ll be ok from here on, as I can then just add the image widget when I need to followed by the pages and links.
I don’t want to risk just trying this in case I lose stuff. Thanks for any help.

Your theme came with a default set of widgets. As soon as you add a new widget, you are in control of what appears in your sidebar. You can drag whichever default widgets you want back into your sidebar from the “inactive widgets” module.
