how do i add posts to another page without altering my home page

  I want to add a post to one of my pages. I don’t want this page to display all of my post, just the ones that I designate for that particular page. How do i do this while leaving my home screen and other posts the same?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey there!

  If you want a page to display only specified posts, you will need to setup a category for those posts. All the posts that you add to this category will appear in your category page.

  Here’s how that will work:

  Hi. Thank you for your prompt response. I’m sorry but I am completely stuck. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. On my menu I have 5 pages. I want to add certain posts to a specific page. I created a category corresponding to the page that I want the post to go on, but the post still goes on the home page but it has a little folder icon with the category name next to it. That’s not what I want. I really need help.

  Hey there!

  Posts do not publish on static pages. They only publish in on their category page.

  Here’s an example:

  If you had a recipe blog, you might create the categories Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

  Then, you’d add your posts to each applicable Category.

  If you created a page called, “Lunch,” and placed that page in your menu, nothing would appear there.

  What you would need to do is add the Category, “Lunch,” to your menu.

  When you open that page you’ll see this:

  I’ve placed a red star next to the Categories option. You’d click that in order to open your Categories and add whatever you want to the menu. Make sure you save whatever changes you make.
