How do I add rich snippet to my blog?

Hi. I am using the 2014 theme on my blog. I want to add a rich snippet but I am unable to figure out how even after going through the forums and support. Kindly help me out.

What if I switch from a free wordpress.com site to a paid one? Will I be able to use a rich snippet then?
For eg, http://www.cordeliacallsitquits.com/ has a rich snippet and it is hosted by wordpress.com.
Please let me know.
