How do I add RSS links etc.. to the main blog page.
-
I looked at the widgets. But I didn’t know what I needed to fill in for the options on the feed. Sorry if this is a basic question. I am a rookie.
Also, my blog is new, going for a couple of days. Any critiques would be appreciated. http://12voltman.wordpress.com/

The widgets affect all pages as they are sidebar items. They will be visible throughout the blog. For the RSS widget, all you really need is the address to the feed. The address depends on what you are wanting to add. For example, if you wanted to add my blog feed to the widget, you’d put this in for the address:
http://abbydonkrafts.wordpress.com/feed
The other settings are your own preferences. Be a little more specific as to what you are having problems with if this doesn’t help you.

I added it through the widget. I will play with options. I am not sure how to be more specific because I don’t use RSS myself. I just thought it might be helpful to any readers who were interested. Still learning…. Thanks!

Wait.. if you want to provide YOUR feed, you don’t need the RSS widget. You can either use the Meta widget (which provides links to your feeds), or use a Text widget and either use the information described in the second FAQ that thistime linked to or manually make a Subscribe box like I did.

Thanks. I think I ended up with something that will work till I learn more about the different types of feeds. Thanks for the help.
