How do I add scrolling images on the blissful blog template?

I want to add a full width featured image to my homepage like the Blissful template sample shows. Has anyone had luck with this?

Focus on your favorites with the graciously sized, full-width Featured Content Slider. To setup, choose a featured post tag in Settings -> Reading -> Featured Content, set a featured image on your favorite posts and tag them with the featured tag.
