how do I add “share this” button below each of my posts?

I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get the right code into my blog so that after each post there appears the bookmark or share this image.

These are the directions I was given. Help!

    AddThis WordPress Plugin

We now also have a WordPress Plugin. This Plugin will automatically insert the AddThis widget below each post in your blog (see it below this post). It’s very easy to install, you don’t even need to change anything in your templates. Here are the instructions:

    1) Download it on your computer, and unzip it
    2) Upload it into your wp-content/plugins directory
    3) Log into your WordPress blog, click on the ‘Plugins’ tab, and click ‘Activate’

And yes, the Plugin also supports Stats. If you want to get bookmarking statistics (e.g. top bookmarked posts over various time periods), open the .php file and set the ‘addthis_username’ variable to, well, your AddThis username.

    Enjoy!

Sorry, but blogs hosted by wordpress.com — such as yours — can’t use plugins.

You can, however, use “add this” in html form but it has to be added manually. You can also use keotag (keotag.com) to accomplish the same thing, or a slick system worked out by sunburntkamel. You’ll find info about that at:

I don’t think any Digg buttons are working in WP 2.5.1 anyway.
