how do I add text content in head of homepage

    I need add text in my head of homepage (like this page http://lappchina.lappgroup.com/, the head of page has company’s contact information),
    May I use CSS to add some text in my head of homepage?

    Hi there,

    WordPress.com offers a Custom Design upgrade which helps you make changes to your blog’s design using CSS.

    However, if you want to change the logo of your site alone, to a logo of your preference, I’d suggest you to design it using an image editing tool (like Adobe Photoshop or GIMP for instance), and then uploading it as a JPEG/PNG image. You may later upload this image as your header. It is easier and more convenient too.

    Hi yuanli15,

    Once you have the Custom Design upgrade, you can do what you are asking for with CSS.

    Try putting this in the CSS box: 

    .site-header:before {
    content: "This is pretty cool! Now what did you want here again?";
    display: block;
    padding-bottom: 10px;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #585858;
    text-align: center;
}

    You can make a lot more changes with CSS, depending on what you’re looking for. The only thing I don’t think you can do, without a more complicated solution, is to post links. You can have as much text as you like, though.

    I hope that helps!

    For anyone else trying this, you will need to change the “site-header” part to whatever that element is named in your theme.

    You’re welcome yuanli15, I’m glad you got it working!

    I see you posted your email address in the header. You will probably get a lot of spam emails if you post it that way, because there are robots that collect email addresses for spammers. At the least, I would change it like this:

    ctrend.corp(at)gmail.com

    or

    ctrend.corp at gmail.com

    A human will know what to do with it, and not as many spam bots will find it that way.
