How do I add those little links from other sites to my sidebar?

Sorry I’m new to this…How do I add those little links from other sites? you see, I joined this web site called top photographers and they sent me a code that I should put on my sidebar. but I don’t know where or how. I tried the image widget and blogroll thing but its not going thru…Im just about to give up…please help..

There are code restrictions http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ If you are trying to post an iframe or JavaScript they software will strip the code out to preserve security on the multiuser blogging platform. If the code is pure HTML then you can post it in a text widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/
