How do I add visitor sign up feature?

My blog is up and running. I need to add a sign up feature for visitors. Is this something an autoresponder company would provide? Or is there a widget I can use? Appreciate any help.

What I’m trying to do is build a mailing list. I need a feature that collects a name and email address. I thought their might be a widget or plugin available. If not, I can probably get one from an autoresponder company
