    How do I add widgets inside my static page or post? (I am using http://blogs.uoregon.edu/ as a host)

    I really want to create a slideshow or “slider” on a static page that will link to a few of my choose posts. Just to be clear I want it to be a slideshow with pictures like in the gallery but the pictures will link back to a post. I have tried the “jetpack” and it does not work. I am also not able to upload different plugins. I would also like to add widgets to the same static page but not on the side bar. I want to make the “middle” more interesting.
