How do I add/offer embed codes for infographics that I create myself?
-
I have not yet posted any infographics but I have created a number that I plan to start rolling out.
My first question is what is the best presentation format that will retain the html link I’ve added to them?
Second, I’d like to encourage people to embed them on their blogs and so I need to add the embed code.
Can anyone explain how I would go about finding this? I guess using the code tag would be the best way to actually present it on the post?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, sure. You could write the embed code within
and
tags if you’d like. Looks like you’ve got that, too. I would change the width on the image source, so that the source image is large enough to display nicely even on retina. You might also consider linking back to your site so users can access other infographics of yours.

Thank you for the reply.
I need to check the optimum width so as you suggest.
I found an Embed code generator (www.siegemedia.com/embed-code-generator) but I found that while I liked the idea that their html should present my embed code within a text box, simply pasting the generated code onto a WordPress page didn’t work, so I ended up stripping out all the rest of the the html stuff.
However putting in the
tags, while slightly better, does display as a single code line rather than a better formatted & presented text box.
Any suggestions?

Hmm, textarea isn’t supported here.
I suppose you could copy and paste (Or upload) the code to Cloudup, then paste the cloudup URL in your post.
Something like this – try pasting that in a test post (not public) and you’ll see what I mean.
