how do i allow jetpack to communicate with my site?
-
This is the error message i receive when I attempt to connect to wordpress.com through jetpack:
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 500]
and this is the error thrown up by my server:
Warning: require_once(/home/a2152799/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/module-info.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/a2152799/public_html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/jetpack.php on line 2047
Any idea how I can fix this? thanks

Hi,
Can you try reinstalling Jetpack?
To do so, you’ll first need to disable and delete the current copy of Jetpack:
1. Go to Plugins screen.
2. Locate Jetpack in the list.
3. Click Deactivate below the plugin name.
4. After the screen reloads, click Delete, which will appear where Deactivate showed.
5. On the confirmation screen, click the “Yes, Delete these files.”After you’ve removed the current plugin, you can install it again:
1. Go to Plugins screen.
2. Click “Add New” above the list of installed plugins.
3. Enter “Jetpack” in the search field and click the Search button.
4. Click “Install now” in the row for Jetpack, then click “Ok” in the popup to confirm that you want to install the plugin.
5. Click “Activate Plugin” on the next screen. At this point, Jetpack should be connected to WordPress.com again, but if it isn’t, you’ll need to complete that process again by clicking on the “Connect to WordPress.com” banner that appears throughout the admin.
Please let me know how that works for you.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Every time I tried to deactivate in order to delete then reinstall, it threw up errors and wouldn’t allow me to do it.
Instead I deleted the jetpack folder using an ftp client. I downloaded the plugin files directly from the website and just a moment ago uploaded to my site, everything seems to be working OK so far…. fingers crossed

Awesome, I’m glad to hear it. :-)
To confirm, were you able to reactivate Jetpack and connect it to your WordPress.com account successfully?
