How do I allow my blog to accept .AAC files?
-
When I try to upload an AAC file to my (externally hosted) WordPress-based site, I get the following error:
“Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”
I’m not aware of any particular security issue associated with .AAC files, so I’d be grateful if you’d tell me how I go about allowing these files onto my site.
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Self-hosted WordPress sites are supported over at http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username there, you’ll need to sign up for one there.
WordPress and WordPress.com are separate entities. You can learn more here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Maybe this site should be modified such that I cannot select my self-hosted site in the drop-down “For which site do you require support”?
…perhaps with an up-front explanation, to save me wasting my and your time.

Understood! Once upon a time we had the services of a forumbot that caught such things and apparently it caught a lot more, so it was disabled. Now you get to wait for a human reply. :)
Best wishes.

Actually, that is such a good idea I’m going to mention it in the Ideas forum. Thanks for the suggestion!
