How do I allow other people to add their own posts
-
I want the ability to allow other people to add posts to my blog but am concerned people may abuse it if I just allow anyone to do so
I’m new to blogging so want to know if this is standard routine or whether you typically limit access to adding new posts to certain individuals
Please advise, any help would be appreciated
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

On WordPress.com, you can add up to 35 users before needing a paid upgrade to add more. http://support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
Once those people sign up for a WordPress.com account, you can invite them to write on your blog, but be very aware of what the various roles are and grant them accordingly. http://support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

Oh, I spoke too soon. The limit of 35 users is only for blogs that have been set to private. (or was it always this way and I just need more coffee?)

Yes, the limit of 35 users is for private blogs only. There is no limit (as far as I know) for public blogs.
