How do I amend dateline?

Set up WordPress blog “sillybooks” in 2006 to support SillyBooks.net website.
That mission failed, but I began again this week. FAQs have given me answers to all I have needed, with the exception of changing the date of the “first post” from 2006 to 2007.
How do I amend that original dateline (which also shows on my first, and current, post)? …Roger -
You need to change the timestamp of your post. You can do that by going to Dashboard > Manage > Posts and selecting the post to edit. In the options on the side of your editor, you’ll see one called Post Timestamp; you should be able to modify the existing timestamp by hour, month and year there.
