How do I archive this content before deleting this site? I am keeping the url

  Hi Sharon,

  You can download a copy of your site’s content (posts, comments, pages) using the Tools->Export wizard in your site’s dashboard.

  That file can be imported into a new WordPress.com blog or on any server with the WordPress.org software installed.

  Thanks for speed — got a long html file mostly about viagra…is there another way?

  Hi Sharon,

  The long html-looking file sounds right, but the viagra doesn’t. There were a number of comments and feedback form submissions in your spam queue that dealt with that topic, which I removed. Can you run the export again?

  The export’s file will contain all your comments, posts, pages, and contact form submissions. The export itself isn’t very human-readable, but is in a format that can be imported into any platform that can import from WordPress.
