How do I Assign posts among multiple tabbed pages?

Alright, first of all, a lot of these support threads have been very helpful with many of questions, however, I have one that I simply haven’t been able to figure out.

I am trying to set up a multi-topic blog and both want a dedicated home page(aka I don’t want all posts just getting rolled together) and want to be able to assign posts to several topic specific pages that will show up as tabs; something that seems standard with most websites. How can I do this? My blog can be found at:

    Thanks!

You cannot have multiple blog pages within a wordpress.COM blog, but there is a way to achieve what you are looking for although the “trick” will not work with the theme you are using.

First you set up categories for the different sections you want, and then you assign the appropriate category to the individual posts. Next you create a static front page for your blog and go to settings > reading and select that page as the front page of the blog, but do not select a “posts” page. Make sure and click “save changes”

Now, following the instructions in this blog post, you will need to create additional pages and title them with hyperlinks to the individual categories: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/page-tabs-as-external-links/ . You will have to be using one of the themes in the left hand column for this to work properly.
