How do I attach a media file to a new post?

In the photography theme how do I attach an image in my media library to a new post? In the online help it says I will see something showing “unattached” files and can use that but I can’t find it and don’t want to have to upload the pics again.

For future reference, there will be a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard, but the theme needs to be active and you need to be signed in as the user who purchased it in order to see it.
