    Hello there Matt,

I have designed a website through Muse, and would like to attach it to my wordpress domain name, for example: http://www.example.com/newwebpage. How would I go about doing this?

Please tell me the host of your Muse website. If you haven’t yet gathered your host’s name servers, you will need to make this a priority in order to map the domain you have registered at WordPress.com.

Information about how to map a WordPress.com registered domain to an outside web server can be found here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

Would you like to use your WordPress.com blog as part of the Muse site, or are you intending to solely use your new site?

Is it mattmerriam.org that you are hoping to map to your new Muse site?

Let me know these details, and I can help further. Thanks much!

Thank you for your reply. The webpage isn’t currently live, just designed. What I would like to do is place the webpage at mattmerriam.org/newsletter, just like the pages on my blog are. But instead of that link going to a page in the blog, it goes to this website. I guess what I am asking is if it is possible to use wordpress to host this webpage and add it to my current blog domain?

    Thank you

    I see!

If you have built a website outside of WordPress.com, you cannot host it on WordPress.com. We only host sites using WordPress.com themes. Otherwise, you’ll have to find another webhost for your site.

We can, however, map your WordPress.com-registered domain to your self-hosted site.

Your WordPress.com blog can indeed be one of the pages on your self-hosted site. You cannot add it to a folder, though. For instance: mattmerriam.org/newsletter is a folder.

You can add it as a subdomain. In this case, that would be newsletter.mattmerriam.org. We can map your subdomain to your blog without trouble.

Here are the instructions for setup of mapping your domain to your self-hosted site by changing your name servers:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/

And here are the steps to map a subdomain:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/

If I can help during this process, please let me know! Thank you.
