How do I avoid distortion of my images using the Photography theme?

    I am a photographer who has just begun building my website with the Photography premium theme. I plan to put up a great many photographs but I do NOT want them cropped automatically by the software. I have resized them according to the directions, such that either the height is 640 or the width is 960, but very few are EXACTLY 640 X 960. How can I keep them undistorted? On the home page, for example, the software squished a vertical shot so that it is totally distorted, even though I had set the height at 640. Is there a way around this forced sizing so that my pictures look the way they should?

    The theme which you’ve selected is one which has its own forum that is specifically geared towards issues with the Photography theme.
