How do i Back up and also install updates

  I need help with updates. How do I know if there is an update and how to backup. Also is there a good manual that i can get that tells you all about wordpress, or a course.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Blogs that are hosted on wordpress.com do not have to worry about backups and updates. Everything is handled for you.

  I have a different account that I am looking after and it is self-hosting. So I guess I need to update and backup?

  Yes, you will need to backup and update that site.
