How do I backup site before WP 3.8 update?

  WP wants me to update my software, I do not want to lose a years worth of posts. How do I backup my site before I update WP and theme?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.com blogs here. We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  I have WordPress.com, not .org
  but I had my domain name from GoDaddy.
  I have made all of the updates to my site except to update my theme, it said I would lose all of my customizations if I updated.

  That is not a WordPress.com blog. It really isn’t. You can tell because at WordPress.com, you don’t do your own upgrades; you can’t.
