How do I block a referrer?
-
I would like to block all traffic from the spam website, buttons-for-website, not merely mark it as spam, which I have already done. How do I do this? I did it for semalt, but I don’t remember how…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
You can mark referrers as spam by clicking on the ellipsis icon and selecting “Spam?”. Is this what you’re looking for?

I don’t think that blocks them, just hides them from my referrer bar. The reason I think this is because, having done this, they still show up on my wordpress app on my phone. I’d like to actually block their traffic from my site.

Howdy!
While your site is set to public, there’s no way to block all traffic from anyone, whether it’s a site you consider spam, or a friend you don’t want reading your posts.
You mentioned marking the referrer as spam in your stats, and that’s a great thing to do to keep your stats as clean as possible — but there’s no way to actually block them unless you set your site to private.
Sorry there’s not more we can do here.
