How Do I Bulk Delete Comment Subscriptions
-
I periodically delete old comment subscriptions because sometimes, the owners of the blogs I subscribe to the comments for, don’t check and spammers will start posting garbage comments. Since the redesign, there’s no way to bulk delete those old subscriptions. I have old ones going back to October and now have to do each one individually. This is ridiculous. Why change this and is there any way to bulk delete them like there used to be?
Thank you!

Hi @altheapreston, happy to look into this for you. Can you share your current process for removing comment subscriptions? What page are you working from?

I’m working from the page that one is taken to when you subscribe to a blog that another user, using WordPress.com, gets you to. This is the page:
https://wordpress.com/subscriptions/comments/
So, the old design had a box next to each subscription where you could check off which ones you wanted to delete or, at the top, you could ‘select all’ and then choose the ‘bulk delete’ action. That is no longer an option. I think this redesign is terrible and the options should never have been removed.

Thanks @altheapreston. That’s helpful. For now you’ll still need to work through individually, but I’ve shared the feedback with the team that has been working on those features.
Are you getting lots of spam from all of those threads, or just unsubbing in bulk generally because they’re older?
