how do I can I allow certain people to read my blog?

  I currently have a private blog and would like to add certain people to be able to view. I looked at the FAQs and think I am just confused. How do I add people to view my blog? Do they have to have a user account or can I send them an invite through email?

  Yes, they must have a WordPress.com user accounts. You will need to add their usernames from Settings -> Privacy. You can invite users to create accounts from Users -> Invites.
