How do I cancel domain mapping?
-
I owned bobbynguyen.com through GoDaddy. I then started a wordpress.com blog, and mapped the domain to the wordpress.com blog. However, I realized I needed a wordpress.org site. So, I transferred by bobbynguyen.com domain to a new registrar, bluehost, and also bought hosting services from them. I installed wordpress on bluehost, and things seemed to be working correctly. However, now, when I access bobbynguyen.com, I get the message “bobbytnguyen.wordpress.com is no longer available”. Bobbytnguyen is the account of my old wordpress.com blog, which I have since deleted. I know I messed up something and didn’t do this correctly.

Hi there,
I think what you might have going on is some caching, because when I go to bobbynguyen.com, your new site comes up and your DNS is set correctly for BlueHost.
You may want to try checking a different browser or even a different computer. To clear your own cache and cookies, you can follow this help article:
I hope this helps!

I cleared my cache and cookies, and things seem to be working properly now. Thanks a lot for the tip!
I still have the issue about cancelling the domain mapping. When I access the Store in my Dashboard, there is a cancel/refund option, but it takes me to my deleted blog, “bobbytnguyen.wordpress.com”

That’s just fine!
I’ve gone ahead and taken care of that for you. I canceled the domain mapping and have refunded the $13 back to you. You should see it appearing back on your billing statement in the next few days.
