How do I cancel email forwarding to Gmail from WordPress.com?
-
We currently have our domain registered with godaddy.com. We opened a wordpress.com blog in order to host the site itself. We also have email hosting through godaddy.com.
I made the mistake of forwarding our email to Google Apps through WordPress.com.
Question:
1) How do I cancel email forwarding to Google through WordPress.com in a way that restores email hosting to godaddy.com while maintaining website hosting on wordpress.com?
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
Best,
Tom Lynch

Hi Tom,
I don’t see any MX records in your custom DNS page. You can access your custom DNS records via your Store -> Domains page by clicking on the Edit DNS link.
Could you provide me with a few more details of the changes you made to your email after mapping your domains to WordPress.com? It sounds like you’re forwarding the email addresses that you set up with GoDaddy to a Google Apps account. Is this correct?

Yes. That is correct.
Go Daddy support is telling me that I must have done it through wordpress.com since they don’t have any MX record changes with them.
-
Okay, did you set up an account with Google Apps? Have you tried contacting them yet?
We don’t provide email hosting, but have some tools available that make setting up Google Apps with a WordPress.com-registered site easier. Since I don’t see any MX records connected to your WordPress.com blogs, and it sounds like you’ve set up email forwarding with Google Apps, I would suggest getting in touch with Google Apps directly:
http://support.google.com/a/bin/static.py?hl=en&page=contacting_support.htmlJust to clarify, at this point, your email address doesn’t appear to be connected to WordPress.com. To do that, you would have needed to update your MX records via your custom DNS page.
I know this can be a bit confusing, so if you need any more clarification, please don’t hesitate to ask :)
