How do I cancel my WORDPRESS account and make the URL available to another server?

  How do I cancel my WORDPRESS account and make the URL available to another registrar? We have built a new website with another company and want to use the domain for the new site. I can’t figure out how to do this.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Don’t cancel the domain. Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future. You should only cancel a domain if you’re completely sure you no longer want it at all.

  The domain you indicated above belongs to the username, ethanortega. Log in as that username, and then you can follow the steps here to move that domain to another provider:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/
