How do I categorize pages?

    I really have searched for the answer to this but must be overlooking. Anyway, I have been here a coupla weeks and blogging is fun and I am learning by doing but I can’t figure this one out.

    A page I wrote is categorized as Uncategorised. I want to change it to a proper tag but when I hit the edit button at the bottom of the page, all it does is call up the page in the wordpress editor. I see nothing there on changing the category. Please help.

    You cannot categorize pages. They sit entirely outside the blog structure and don’t participate in it. Basically, search engines don’t see them as readily as blog posts, they’re not included in the site search widget, and they can’t be categorized. They’re really only for things like your bio or such.
