How do I change custom mail servers to permit WordPress.com Email Forwarding.
-
I have my domain registered through Network Solutions. My email is provided through iPage.com. I have mapped my custom domain, but when I attempt to set the email forwarding address, I get the following message:
“This domain currently has custom mail servers defined in its DNS settings. This means that WordPress.com Email Forwarding is not available for this domain, and that you should manage your email with your email provider.”
How to I change this and with which company?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the email hosting service through iPage.com is ending in about a week, which is why we are using WordPress with email forwarding. We are planning to end email hosting with iPage.

It looks like Jerry has already addressed this issue via a Private Support Request, but if you have any other questions, please let us know.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t help. We are not interested in paying for email hosting through Network Solutions. We want to use an email address that includes our custom domain but have that email forwarded to another address, as in included in our WordPress Premium account. How do we do that?

For WordPress.com email forwarding to be enabled, you will need to remove the current mail server that you have set for your domain:

Once WordPress.com is set for your MX record, you can get started with our email forwarding:
