How do I change do not reply?
-
I am not able to reply to or get replies from other bloggers via email. When I leave a comment for another blogger, my name appears and then <donotreply.wordpress.com>. Is there a feature I can activate or deactivate so that my email address does appear and they CAN reply to a comment or question I leave for them? I asked this same question a couple of days ago, and was told by macmanx that WordPress does “not have control over Blogger comment subscriptions.” I understand that, but this also happens with other WordPress bloggers for whom I leave a comment or they leave one for me.

Would you mind letting me know how you’re leaving comments? For example, are you replying to a post as a Guest or logged into your WordPress account?
I also see that in your Settings -> Discussion page, you’ve enabled “sending comment replies via email” on your own blog. Is this not functioning properly for you? What happens when you try to reply via email/?

@everlese: I leave my comments to other WordPress users just by typing in the comment, then pressing the button “Post Comment.” It always says “You are commenting using your WordPress.com account” right below the comment box. On Blogger I comment and then put in my URL on those that allow it. For those that only take comments through my Google account, that’s how I leave them. On the 2nd thing you asked about, I’m not even sure what that means. Does it mean that I am able to reply to people who comment on my blog via their email account? If so, then no…I’ve not been having trouble with that. Since I first emailed you, however, I have posted a post and am getting calls from friends & family telling me that they are unable to view the email they get alerting them that a new post is up. My husband emailed me what he got, and there is just a big blue box with a bunch of lines in it. We scrolled all around & up and down and finally found one picture. Another person said the pictures are all overlapped onto each other. Another person said it was all just blank blue and white. I have been getting weird email stuff, too, via WordPress the last few days. I have never seen anything like this prior to a few days ago. A big blue box with a small white box over in the lower right-hand corner (that you have to search to find!) that tells you a message. Sometimes you can read what is in the smaller white box, and sometimes you can’t. All the toolbar stuff has changed, too! :-( I can’t just navigate like I used to, and the site stastics box overlaps onto the dropout boxes on the right. What the heck is going on??!???! This is so frustrating!!!!!!! Help, please!!!!!!

Ok, the Blogger portion is not something we can help with, so let’s focus on the WordPress.com portion.
Can you give me a link to a comment that you’ve posted on WordPress.com blog and let me know what you wanted to appear instead?

I’m afraid I’m not that technically advanced when it comes to WordPress. Y’know…don’t worry about it. I’ll just figure something else out. If I just have to keep typing in my email address after every comment I leave for people, I can just do that. I’m really not in tune enough to all the technical terms to help you help me. Thank you anyway. In the meantime, however, I’m still getting big, blue, blank pages on my email message when someone subscribes or comments on my blog. I’m still having problems with the Dashboard page, too. The At-a-Glance site stats box is obscuring my ability to see any of the side pop-ups on the left of the Dashboard when I click on them. They are mostly hidden by the box. Also, the new Site Stats bar at the top of that page does not work when you click on it. It says “Click for full site stats”, but when I do, nothing happens. All these recent changes to WordPress seem to have really messed a lot of stuff up. I hope it can all be corrected soon.
