How do I change format to one full page per screen, no columns?

    First let me say I am completely new to WordPress, so thank you for your help in advance!
    I just posted a short blog to try it out, and it posted fine, but in columns. I don’t want it in columns like a newspaper, I want it right across the page like a book. How do I change this?

    While I’m asking, I don’t know if this will work or not, but I want to post chess games with diagrams. I am an International Master of Chess, but as mentioned above, new to websites. Can I post chess diagrams on this site?

    Regarding the columns, I can see that the theme you are using is the Cols theme and it might be intended for posts to look like that. I suggest trying out different themes for your blog inside My Sites -> Themes until you discover the one that suits you the best.

    I am 99% certain that chess games with diagrams cannot unfortunately be embedded into posts. However, you can use images or videos of chess games which would be a good alternative!

    Thank you Dakisha, and I think you’re right about changing the theme. I will try that soon.
    As for the chess game, unfortunately I don’t have time right now but I do give lessons if you are interested.
