How do I change from paid to free WordPress?

    Am I able to change my blog from the paid version to the free version?
    I am not really using it very much anymore and not making money from it so would like it to be free.

    Hi there,

    Your site thethriftybackpackers.com is not hosted by us (WordPress.com). It is using the open-source WordPress.org software and it is hosted by Bluehost.

    If you want to be hosted by us on our Free plan, you can do so by following these instructions to transfer your site here:

    https://transferto.wordpress.com/self-hosted-wordpress-org/

    Please note, that on the Free plan you won’t be able to use your custom domain and you’ll have to register a .wordpress.com or .blog subdomain address.

    Also, you won’t be able to use any plugins and themes that are not in our Theme Library (https://wordpress.com/themes/).
