How do I change hosting for bestdailysavings.com from wordpress.com to hostgator

  I think the directions here are outdated, because i cannot find a way to get to the nameservers: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/
  I’d like to retain domain registration with wordpress, but want hosting frm Hostgator, after which I’ll download wordpress.org (self-hosted) through cPanel account and have the site bestdailysavings up-and-running on wordpress. thanks

  I’ll definitely take a look at the support documentation and get it updated for you, but in the mean time I can also update your nameservers for you. What nameservers did you want to change your domain name to? I can set them for you!

  Hello amightywp!

  Wow – that would be excellent if you could change the nameservers. I am migrating hosting to Hostgator, and the nameservers are:

  1st Nameserver: ns6603.hostgator.com
  2nd Nameserver: ns6604.hostgator.com

  So, just to be clear, the domain will still be with WordPress and the hosting will be with hostgator? I plan to install wordpress.org through my cPanel with Hostgator afterwards. Thanks a bunch!

  OK, you’re all set! I’ve changed those nameservers for you. Keep in mind that any changes to DNS can take between 1 and 24 hours to fully propagate throughout the internet, so make sure you give it a chance to filter through, but your domain should start pulling up your Hostgator site here soon.

  And yes, to clarify, your domain will still be registered here at WordPress.com, but will be pointed at your hosting over with HostGator where you will be able to install WordPress.org!
