How Do I change my A record?

  Hello,

  I am trying to update my A record to point to my hosting account on GOdaddy.com.

  Can you please provide me with information on how I would make this update?

  The Custom DNS article says:

  Note: that you cannot add an A record for a root level domain such as mydomain.com through the WordPress.com Custom DNS editor. You must use another DNS hosting provider if you want to do that.

  Since this is what you want to do, I suggest you change your DNS servers to point to GOdaddy, or even transfer the domain to them.

  Sorry, I should have included that I have the DNS servers pointing to Godaddy.

  I did see what you provided above but I guess i misunderstood it. Thank you for your response.

  If you are using goDaddy DNS then you have to set the A record on the goDaddy server
